Heavy rains brought by the typhoon caused severe urban flooding in Fenghuang Town, Laibin on July 6. Large areas of the town were submerged by muddy floodwater. Rescue teams navigated boats door-to-door to search for trapped residents amid chest-deep floodwaters.
